Longitude Festival to Provide Boost for Rathfarnham Economy
This weekend, Phoenix, Kraftwerk and other great acts will entertain thousands of music fans in Marlay Park. But most importantly, the Festival Republic concerts will provide a much needed boost to local businesses.

The 3 day festival is being organised by Festival Republic who have a fantasic record in holding major gigs across Europe. The gigs are being promoted locally by MCD.

In addition to raising funding for the upkeep of Marlay Park, the concerts will generate extra revenues for local B&Bs, taxi drivers, shops and pubs.

It is hoped that tourism will improve in the area in the weeks following the concerts. Any increase in visitors to Rathfarnham Castle and the Pearse Museum would be beneficial to the plenty supply of restaurants and pubs in the locality.
